Our Story

Cambrian Mountains Lamb was established in 2015 as a community interest company to fulfill orders for lamb from the region and to promote the region’s produce to a wider UK audience.

The lamb group was originally brought together by the Cambrian Mountains Initiative, a project inspired by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales who as the project’s President wished to help sustain traditional Welsh upland farms and rural communities.

The Cambrian Mountains Initiative has worked with our farmers since 2013, who have met regularly since then in order to exchange knowledge and work on developing the Cambrian Mountains Lamb product. These activities were run alongside complementary activities intended to develop both beef and wool from the region.
